Volunteer with BRAVO
Why?
- Historically, BRAVO has relied on community volunteers to strengthen HelpLine
- We have spent the past few years assessing our services, strengthening our structure, and now we are relaunching our volunteer program.
- This is a great opportunity for people to be involved with survivors of all backgrounds, but also to develop and strengthen the support for LGBTQIA+ survivors across the state
Who?
- Retired professionals
- Students
- Anyone wanting to dedicate time to supporting the community
What?
- Required 40-hour HelpLine training, BRAVO training on phone and chat services
- Shifts currently available during M-F 9-5.
- Work alongside the team to support survivors on the HelpLine and increase capacity of the HelpLine across the state.
- Volunteers will not be responsible for ongoing advocacy and case management but for answering HelpLine calls/chats, doing intakes, providing basic referrals, and connecting people to our advocates.
